Clinical laboratory professionals who work with sophisticated and expensive diagnostic equipment in busy hospital environments provide a crucial service during all stages of patient care. While EMR Software in Barbados is beneficial for patients and health professionals, the accelerated pace of this environment increases the time available for on-site training of future specialists in clinical laboratories. A two-year grant from the National Institutes of Health seeks to address this problem through the development of effective, affordable and sustainable educational software that targets medical science lab programs at the health organization.
E-Clinic Software in Barbados an Innovative Technology for Clinical Laboratory Science Education. The project will develop 30 learning modules for students that include computer-based medical laboratory science information along with high-quality animated three-dimensional simulations and virtual labs for use in a classroom to study the standard.
“The modules will provide access to the clinical instrumentation and critical thinking experiences that are expected from someone who is becoming a medical laboratory scientist,” “For various reasons, this team is beyond the resources of most healthcare organization and healthcare organization programs to provide.”
The technology, developed by lab management software in Barbados in close collaboration with three universities, will offer authentic clinical laboratory educational activities using virtual wet labs and advanced and integrated learning strategies to better prepare students for professional practice.
“I was recruited through a recommendation from the faculty of Healthcare organization, where the first phase of the project was focused to create a module “This involved the creation of multiple pages, including a description of the components of the instrumentation, an exercise for the students to perform, evaluation questions to determine the competence and a script for the whole module.”
